Koji Tamaki to appear on Kōhaku Uta Gassen, giving first TV performance of "Fanfare"
It has been announced that Koji Tamaki will appear in a special segment of the 76th NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen (the New Year's Eve song contest), which will be broadcast on NHK General and other channels on Dec. 31.
This marks Tamaki’s fourth solo appearance on Kōhaku Uta Gassen and his second consecutive year. This year, he will perform "Fanfare," his first new song in three years, which served as the theme song for the TBS Sunday drama "The Royal Family." This Kōhaku Uta Gassen appearance will be the first time Tamaki performs "Fanfare" on a television program.
Looking ahead to the event, Tamaki commented, "I will be appearing on Kōhaku Uta Gassen again this year. I will sing with all my heart so that everyone's hearts can be connected to love. I wish you all a happy New Year!"
