A new artist, LAYRA, will debut from Echoes, a management and label under Sony Music Entertainment that is home to a diverse roster of artists including YOASOBI, Tatsuya Kitani, Aooo, MAISONdes, NOMELON NOMELON, asmi, Puppet Sunsun, and Uketsu.

LAYRA is an artist who goes back and forth between the virtual world and reality. Hiro-chan <As>, who produced the diva Belle in the animated film "Ryu to Sobakasu no Hime," will take on the role of producer, guiding LAYRA—who sings vibrantly in a corner of the massive internet virtual world <U> while admiring Belle—to become the next diva after Belle.

Mika Pikazo handled the character design and TeddyLoid worked on the music, while five people—miwa, Natsumi Kon, Konomi Suzuki, Maria Miki, and ASCA—will serve as the real cast. Coinciding with the debut announcement, a portion of her debut song "Watashi wa LAYRA," newly written by TeddyLoid, was released.

Additionally, from Oct. 10 to Nov. 15, LAYRA's first stage performance, "Animersive Live 'Ryu to Sobakasu no Hime - PROJECT LAYRA -'," will be held at MoN Takanawa: The Museum of Narratives Box1000 in Tokyo. This performance, produced by Hiro-chan <As>, is an immersive live music show that fuses anime, music, video, theater, and virtual expression, with the five real cast members showcasing performances through their own interpretations and individualities. Furthermore, Hiro-chan <As> is played by Lilas Ikuta, who is also active as YOASOBI's vocalist ikura. Tomoyo Kurosawa will also appear in the role of the autonomous AI, Puck.

LAYRA comment

Nice to meet you everyone, I'm LAYRA. I am truly happy to have been given this opportunity to deliver my songs to so many people! Since I became "LAYRA" in the world of <U>, unbelievable things have been happening that I couldn't have imagined before. I want to convey my gratitude to <U>, to Hiro-chan, and to everyone who listens to LAYRA's songs. To do so, I will sing with all my might from now on, with the intention of making it resonate to the ends of the <U> world!
