Details for Eikichi Yazawa's spring tour "EIKICHI YAZAWA CONCERT TOUR 'GOLD RUSH 2027'" have been announced.

This marks the first time in approximately 48 years that Yazawa will hold a spring tour under his own name since "The One Night Show 1979 CONCERT TOUR" in 1979. At his 60th birthday concert at Tokyo Dome in Tokyo in September 2009, Yazawa remarked, "I was hoping I could sing for even a little bit longer if possible, and before I realized it, I've been doing it for this long. If there's no one doing active rock at 60, then I'll do it!" Now at 76, driven by the desire to "keep singing more like those guys overseas such as Mick Jagger and Paul McCartney" and "approach concerts in top form during a warmer season rather than late-year autumn/winter," he decided to hold a spring tour.

This spring tour will consist of a total of 16 performances, starting from YKK AP Arena (Toyama City Machinaka Arena) in Toyama on April 17 to GLION ARENA KOBE in Hyogo on May 29. Furthermore, the tour title includes "GOLD RUSH," the name of Yazawa's fourth solo album released in June 1978. Advance ticket lottery reservations will start on Aug. 21 on the official fan club "YAZAWA CLUB."
