aiko will release her new album, "Saigo ni Atsui Hibi o Kuruwashiki Omoi de," on Oct. 21.

This marks her first original album in approximately two years and two months since the release of "Zanshin Zansho" in August 2024. The album will feature a total of 13 tracks, including "Cinema," the theme song for the drama "Ensemble"; "Capsule," the ending theme for the TV anime "Apocalypse Hotel"; and the single "Cry High Fly," released in January. Among the tracks, the new song "Anata no Hana no Iro" has been selected as the opening theme for Season 2 of the TV anime "Blue Box" (Ao no Hako), which begins broadcasting on the TBS network on Oct. 4. Regarding the song, aiko commented, "It became a song where I could put those feelings into words precisely because I have become an adult." A portion of "Anata no Hana no Iro" can be heard in the main promotional video for the anime, which was released on YouTube. Additionally, Elsewhere-Kikou's new song "blue in" has been chosen as the ending theme for the anime.

The album will be released in three formats: Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B, and Regular Edition. The Limited Editions will include a Blu-ray or DVD featuring "Love Like Pop vol.24.9 Countdown Live 2025–2026," her first countdown live in 10 years, held at Osaka-jo Hall in Osaka on Dec. 31, 2025. A pass sticker from the performance will also be enclosed. Furthermore, as a store-specific bonus, the "aiko Original Marker Charm Ochiyo-chan," featuring illustrations drawn by aiko, will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Along with the album information, it was announced that additional performances for the national tour "Love Like Pop vol.26" will be held at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo on Feb. 17 and 18, 2027. Customers who pre-order the album within the designated period can apply for the advance ticket lottery for these additional shows, as well as the previously announced Dec. 31 performance at Osaka-jo Hall. The advance lottery for these three shows will begin tomorrow, Aug. 27 at 12 p.m. for album pre-order purchasers and official fan club "Baby Peenats" members, followed by the "Team aiko" pre-sale on Sept. 24 at 12 p.m., and the official pre-sale on Oct. 8 at 12 p.m. The final official advance lottery for tickets for the Yokohama Arena (Kanagawa), Kroko-kun Hall (Aichi), Asue Arena Osaka (Osaka), and the Jan. 29 and 30 Nippon Budokan shows will be held from 12 p.m. on Sept. 11 to 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 23.

aiko Comment

"During my student days, school and my room were everything to me. Bursting into laughter with friends over trivial things until my stomach hurt, or writing mysterious letters to someone I liked at night only to read them the next day and throw them in the trash after all—those moments I remember forever are still an important part of me now that I'm an adult. This song has become one where both my current and past selves exist! It’s a song where I could put those feelings into words precisely because I have become an adult. I hope this song also plays in the hearts of Taiki-kun and Chinatsu-senpai!"
